If you do have a room with low ceilings or maybe a great view, or even windows with great architecture and don't want to cover it up but feel curtains without pelmets look to plain, then a flop over heading on a pole can look great.
Once again keeping it simple looks great, this valance/pelmet has a simple box pleat at each end and one in the centre, uses a minimum of fabric and doesn't drown a window in a room with a low ceiling.

Classic Swags and Tails never fail to impress, but remember they always look there best at long narrow windows, sash windows as in the pic show them to there best.
These elegant ruched blinds look great, whatever happened to the fussy Austrian Blinds of the eighties? Well I think we yearned for something simple after all those frills! Well I have heard a rumour that they might be coming back into fashion..............
Flat wooden or buckram pelmets are very fashionable again, they look great on wide modern windows, and traditional windows alike, they use the minimum of fabric, and give a very smart tailored look
